Amy Sullivan
I discovered yoga after sustaining several knee injuries and surgeries (eight, to be exact) as a collegiate level athlete and aspiring professional dancer. Initially, my curiosity about yoga was superficial: I wanted to emulate Madonna! But over time, yoga initiated a process of self-discovery that transcended my physical practice and transformed my life. Today, my practice grounds me and helps me connect to myself. Moving in a conscious way encourages awareness, acceptance, and integration in all aspects of my life.
My intention as a yoga instructor is to support my students on their life journey by utilizing the poses and principles of yoga as a vehicle for self-discovery, self-acceptance and awareness. I encourage students to cultivate a deeper connection to themselves and to tap into their own inner healer; to be more expressive and nurturing, and recognize themselves for the beautiful beings they already are.
I am a Registered Yoga Teacher and teach children from ages 3 to 93. In my classes, expect awakening sequences linking movement with breath, vitalizing arm balances, concise alignment cues, light-hearted humor, and free flow. Restorative poses at the close of the practice encourage students to shed old skin and make way for new blessings.

Jean-Bernard Lazaro sees yoga as a way to become a human being and sees the body as the most outer part of the brain. During the practice breath is a key point to monitor the relation of the body with the mind. Nurturing the entire self adequately through the use of breath, asanas and concentration produces a powerful practice, which in turn brings peace and joy. His classes are vigorous and challenging, mixing tradition and creativity. The open level concept gives to each student from beginners to more advanced practitioners the opportunity to enter asanas (postures) at different levels according to where they are in their practice. It is recommended to rest whenever needed and to let aside any competitive mind.

Carolyn Little is a registered Yoga Teacher, Reiki II practitioner, and has studied and practiced yoga for more than 10 years both nationally and internationally. No matter where she is in the world, her mat is her home. Yoga is a grounding force in her life; a unification of mind, body and spirit. She hopes to share this inner peace and strength she has found through yoga with her students. Her classes are a perfect mix of sweaty vinyasa flow with influences of meditation and yin yoga intelligently placed throughout class.

Ame Wren is a self-proclaimed “yoga mutt.” Her teaching is a hybrid of many styles of yoga as well as other movement modalities. She is known for lacing her classes with humor and music while instilling the importance of proper alignment and smart transitioning to create a sustainable yoga practice. Ame wholeheartedly believes yoga can be an amazing addition to anyone's life and does not need to be achieved or attained, just enjoyed and explored.
Among her greatest teachers and muses are David Vendetti, Sadie Nardini, David Regelin and Schuyler Grant. Ame is a Lululemon Ambassador and was recently named Best Yoga Instructor in the 2010 Boston magazine "Best of Boston" awards.

Kristen Stiles found herself on the yoga mat after a life of intensely competitive athletics landed her with knee injuries that required surgery. The therapeutic benefit of the yoga practice began in her body, spread through her spirit, and transformed her life. Kristen thrives on her practice that has helped to heal her body and balance her mind. She seeks these experiences daily and her classes offer the space for every practitioner to experience his or her own sense of bliss.
Kristen trains with Prajna Yoga founders Tias and Surya Little in Santa Fe, New Mexico and is on her way to reaching 500 hours in this mix of Iyengar, Ashtanga, and Vinyasa Flow. In addition, Kristen thrives on trying new classes and styles of yoga and has been practicing Baptiste Power Vinyasa Yoga since 2002.
Joanna Benevides
Yoga is a tremendous force of healing for Joanna. Living in New York City and working in the fashion industry for over 5 years, Joanna was always on the go and she found her mind and body over-worked and extremely stressed. It was in her yoga practice where she began to observe from within, quiet her mind and listen to her heart. What started as a hobby, turned into a new path in Joanna's life. As her practice grew, so did her appreciation and love for not only the flowing movement, but the spirituality and philosophy behind the practice. Joanna is truly honored to share her love for the practice with others through teaching. Her classes are deep and dynamic, emphasizing fluid movement, strong alignment and grace - creating a place of self-acceptance in a safe and welcoming environment. Joanna completed her 200-hour Vinyasa Yoga teacher training from Yoga High in New York City.

Sarah looks forward to graduating and being able to integrate yoga and the power of the outdoors into the counseling process.
“Life is not about finding yourself, it’s about creating yourself.” This mantra rings true for Sarah and she thanks yoga and all of her teachers for helping to shape who she is today. She feels blessed to have the opportunity to share yoga and its wonderful benefits with people of all ages, shapes, sizes and backgrounds.

Laura Stevenson A ballerina since she was 3 years old, Laura loved the movement, grace and beauty of ballet. While complementing her ballet training with Pilates, Laura discovered the same principals that she grew to love in ballet also applied to Pilates. She instantly fell in love with Pilates, practicing both on the mat and on the reformer. Laura earned her Mat Pilates certification when she was just 17 years old, and never stopped teaching. Years later, Laura is as much in love with Pilates as she was when she introduced the “Mat” and the “Hundred” to students for the first time.
Laura began her teaching career in Boston when she first arrived at her Northeastern University college campus. She taught throughout the four years at Northeastern’s Marino Center where she made not only a name for herself, but lifelong friends. One of her best friends is fellow Boston Pilates instructor, Jennifer Phelan!

Sarah Berman
I came on to my yoga mat to heal multiple injuries from a long career of gymnastics and ballet. After the very first class I took, I knew that my mat was home. It was the first time I had ever been so aware of my breath, and of the quality of my mind. I felt so present and focused. The healing had begun: mind, body and spirit started to unite. This was such a unique and euphoric feeling for me, I knew right away I wanted to share this with other students one day. In February 2010 I completed my 200-hour teacher training through YogaWorks, with Natasha Rizopolous, and do what I can do help spread this beautiful feeling to anyone who takes my classes.

Michael Sullivan
As a result of competitive athletics and a one dimensional training regime my body began to break down; several severe athletic injuries required surgery, and months of physical therapy. Under encouragement from my physical therapist, I tore down my western concept of “What is fit?” and began to design a new platform around “What is functional?” 4 years ago, instructors and classes at North End Yoga changed my routine and health. I traded gym for studio, found my mat, and found balance of mind, body, and soul.
Following the encouragement of my incredible instructors; Ame Wren, Georgia Reath, David Regelin, Todd Skoglund and David Vendetti, I completed my 200 hour training through South Boston Yoga in early 2011. My intention as an instructor is to provide my students a tangible way to access balance of mind, body, and soul, no matter the time, no matter the place. These powerful classes are vinyasa fueled, inspired by traditional yoga, focused on anatomy, alignment, and most importantly, functional fitness. Drop in anytime. One love.

“The world is a beautiful place, and it’s worth the fighting for.” -Hemmingway
